NEW PRACTICE GUIDELINE
Healthcare is ever-changing, requiring for the practice of nursing to evolve. Nurses remain accountable for understanding their roles and scope of practice. As nursing practice evolves, nurses are often faced with decisions about whether they can perform specific activities. This practice guideline defines the role of the RN and the NP, and their scopes of practice and provides a decision-support tool to determine whether an activity falls within scope.
